McDonald’s Brings Back the Cheese Danish from the ’80s Menu
Guess what's coming back to McDonald's for a limited time starting September 14 at participating restaurants? The one and only "Cheese Danish."
I used to order a Cheese Danish from McDonald's quite often back in the '80s. It's so delicious and only at McDonald's restaurants for a short time.
According to mlive.com:
McDonald’s announced it will bring back a menu item that it first offered in the decade of acid-washed jeans and leg warmers: The Cheese Danish. The flakey pastry, first offered at the fast food restaurant chain in the ‘80s, features a sweet cream cheese filling and is topped with a buttery streusel and light vanilla drizzle for a fall treat.
Back when I was in high school in the mid '70s, McDonald's was the hang out spot every Friday night after home football games.
The McDonald's parking lot on Cedar Street in Lansing was jam packed with Everett High School students.
Would you like to know what the fashion trends were back in the mid '70s? How about bell bottoms, platforms, high wasted jeans, feathered hair, and hot pants. Yes we were all sporting the look back in the '70s.
In the '80s when the Cheese Danish was first introduced on the McDonald's menu, the fashion trends were:
1. Big hair and perms
2. Spandex
3. Ripped knees
4. Lacey shirts
5. Leg warmers
6. High waisted jeans
7. Neon colors
8. Mullets
Let's relive the '80s and enjoy the "Cheese Danish" when it returns to McDonald's menu on September 14. This is a perfect fall treat, especially after local high school football games.
