Meek Mill Addresses Connecticut Concert Shooting Where 2 People Die [VIDEO]

Meek Mill’s rap concert in Connecticut ended in tragedy as four people were shot on Friday night (Dec. 30). Of those four people, two people died and the other two suffered only non-life-threatening injuries.

According to NBC Connecticut, police responded to a report of gunfire at a club with one person shot in the leg around 11:12PM. When they arrive, they discovered that four people were suffering from gunshot wounds, two fatally, in the parking lot. Authorities believe a fight of some kind led to the shooting.

Family members have confirmed to NBC Connecticut that one of the men killed was 31-year-old Travis Ward of New Haven, Conn. They believe that he wasn't the intended target of the shooter.

“My cousin isn’t into the streets at all," said Stacey Ward, Travis Ward’s cousin. "He’s not a street kid. First of all, he’s not a kid, he’s a man, you understand? And, he was coming out with his family, to celebrate his birthday."

Police haven't released the names and ages of the remaining victims. The two surviving victims were treated at a local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries. Cops have no suspects at this time.

Meanwhile, Meek Mill went on Snapchat to address the shooting and isn't convinced of the news that two people have died from this senseless act of violence.

"They really trying to slow these bags up," he says in the clip above. "Looking at this s---... two people died, two people got shot ... it's a lie. Someone hatin' tryin' to slow these bags up, 'cause we scoopin' up 250s."
