Michigan 2025: ChatGPT’s Witty Take On The Mitten State’s Future
Now that we are fully in the new year of 2025, it is the perfect time to manifest what could and should happen in Michigan this year.
While I know my predictions would be spot on, I asked ChatGPT to make some BOLD predictions for the Mitten State.
Prepare yourself for this madness.
Michigan's New Motto: "Pure Michigan... and Pure Sass"
Such an iconic new motto. Personally, this seems better than "West Michigan Nice."
Here is what ChatGPT thinks: "The state’s tourism campaign gets a refresh with ads featuring locals poking fun at out-of-staters struggling with the word “Mackinac” and the unpredictable weather."
Detroit Becomes the New Silicon Valley (of Pizza)
In 2025, ChatGPT is predicting that Detroit will get a major (food-related) glow-up.
"Tech startups will move to Detroit, but instead of focusing on AI, they’ll specialize in gourmet robotic pizza delivery. Expect drones dropping deep-dish pies on your doorstep!"
ChatGPT may be onto something since my radio sister, Laura Hardy, also believes that Michigan should be the pizza capital of the world.
Lake Michigan Achieves TikTok Fame
ChatGPT: "A viral trend called “Plunge Your Problems” will see thousands of people diving into Lake Michigan every January to cleanse their bad vibes. The lake becomes an influencer in its own right with its own verified social media accounts."
Michigan Declares Official State Dance
From TikTok dances to this, Michigan may be adding an official state dance to the lineup in 2025.
ChatGPT predicts this: "Tired of being overshadowed by the polka, Michiganders will rally behind a hybrid move combining “The Robot” and the “Fishing Reel,” aptly named "The Trout Shuffle."
UP Declares Independence for a Day
Yoopers rejoice! You will have your independence for one day and one day only, according to ChatGPT.
"Yoopers (Upper Peninsula residents) jokingly declare themselves a separate nation to celebrate regional pride, only to be bombarded with requests for passports made out of pasties."
