Michigan Girls Thwart Abduction Attempt By Fighting And Throwing Hot Coffee On Attacker
Four Michigan girls aged 11 to 14 managed to fight off an abductor in the parking lot of a Speedway Gas Station in Millington, Michigan. Police reported that the assailant, 22-year-old Bruce Hipkins, tried to grab one girl by the hair and kidnap her.
The girls were quick to react, throwing hot coffee on him and kicking and punching him. After Hipkins was attacked he let go of one girl and tried to grab another before giving up and fleeing the scene.
Two of the four girls were sisters and told reporters that their father had told them to always fight back in a situation in which their lives were in danger.
After Hipkins fled the scene, the girls ran to a nearby business and called 911 and police found Hipkins moments later and arrested him. He is now incarcerated in Tuscola County Jail on a $250,000 bond awaiting trial.
