Michigan Is One Of The Best States To Be A Police Officer
Being a police officer isn't an easy job and depending on where you live it can be extremely dangerous.
WalletHub.com released a study of which police officers had it the best and worst depending on where they lived. Michigan wasn't at the top of the list, but with high crime areas like Detroit and Flint, you'd be surprised where Michigan fell in the rankings.
Michigan police officers have the 4th highest median income for law-enforcement officers (adjusted for cost of living) and the 4th highest housing affordability for officers. But, it's not all good news for Michigan police officers, Wallethub also reported that Michigan has one of the lowest percentage of homicide cases solved in the nation.
Although Michigan doesn't fall in the top 10 best states for police officers, Michigan gets ranked a respectable 12th.
