Michigan Teen Removed from Plane After Using Dad’s Credit Card for $1,200 Flight
A Traverse City teen got pretty close to taking off to Germany on her dad's dime.
MLive reports that an 18-year-old used her father's credit card to purchase $1,200 plane tickets to visit her boyfriend in Germany.
The father was contacted by his bank on Jan. 1 about a potentially fraudulent charge being made with his card.
He then called police. They were able to find the teen and remove her from the plane she'd boarded at Cherry Capitol Airport in Traverse City. She admitted to using her dad's info to pay for the flight.
Her parents are seeking a felony charge for credit card fraud against her.
