Michigan’s Adventure Will Be Closed Two Days a Week This Summer
Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon will not be operating daily this summer due to a labor shortage.
Wood TV 8 reports that Michigan’s Adventure will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, although sales and marketing director Laure Bollenbach says that could change. She said in an email to Wood TV 8,
Our goal is to strike the appropriate balance between our operating calendar and the anticipated demand from our guest.
Cedar Point, which is also owner by Cedar Fair Entertainment, announced last week they will closed select days in June due to a shortage of workers.
The Sandusky, Ohio amusement park said a in a Facebook post that despite ramping up hiring efforts -- "as we're seeing across a wide range of industries, the availability of labor continues to be a challenge. "
Michigan's Adventure has also increased recruitment efforts, holding job fairs, and raising hourly wages up to $14 per hour. The park is looking to fill positions in Foods,

Michigan's Adventure opens this Saturday, May 29th, and will debut a new Peanuts themed "Camp Snoopy". The water park, WildWater Adventure, opens June 19th.
Michigan's Adventure has updated it's COVID-19 protocols for the upcoming season. Currently, reservations are required for Single Day Ticketholders through June 18. Season Passholders will not need to make reservations at this time. While temperature checks have been discontinued at the front gate, a health screen questionnaire will be conducted by associates. Guests who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to seek a COVID-19 test 1-3 days before their visit.

All guests age 2 and older who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear face coverings while indoors unless actively eating and drinking. Face coverings for guests who are not fully vaccinated are strongly recommended if it is not possible to maintain 6’ of social distancing. Face coverings are recommended but not required indoors or outdoors for guests who are fully vaccinated if social distancing cannot be maintained. Face coverings should completely cover the nose and mouth, and not have exhalation valves or vents, which allows virus particles to escape.
