Ne-Yo Is Ready to Work Overtime on ‘Earn Your Love’ [LISTEN]
Ne-Yo has been away from the R&B scene for quite a long time, but the veteran singer returns with an elegant new single called “Earn Your Love.”
Over buoyant productions, Ne-Yo sings metaphoric lyrics of working overtime to earn his lover’s affection.
"Baby don't just give it, make me earn your love / Show that I'm worth it / I'll prove to you that I'm worth it," he sings, before adding a famous 2Pac reference, "I hate to sound sleazy but tease me / I don't want it if it's that easy."
The song should appease his fans yearning for some new material from Ne-Yo. The 37-year-old singer's last project was Non-Fiction in 2015. That album boasts the radio-friendly singles, "Money Can't Buy" (featuring Jeezy) and "She Knows" (featuring Juicy J).
