New Pop-Up, Delivery Only Cheesesteak Restaurant Opens in G.R.

A pop-up restaurant recently popped up in Grand Rapids and the next time you get a fixin' for a Philly Cheesesteak, this is your new spot.

Mertens Hospitality (owner of New Hotel Mertens) had planned on opening 9th St. Steaks later this year but told GRBJ due to COVID-19 they felt it was "appropriate to accelerate" the process.

9th St. Steaks specializes in cheesesteaks and pride themselves on everything being made from scratch -- from the bread to the cheese. In addition, they serve up fries, onion rings, and shakes all customized to your liking.

As of right now, the restaurant is only open for delivery through GrubHub Tuesday-Sunday. They're located at 35 Oakes St. SW in Downtown Grand Rapids.
