Friday, June 3-Sunday, June 5, 2022 - Downtown Grand Rapids, MI
The annual three day celebration of the arts returns to downtown Grand Rapids. The first festival was back in 1970, just after the installation of Alexander Calder’s La Grande Vitesse on Calder Plaza. It's the 71st Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair to kick off the summer. You will find items handcrafted by over 125 jury-selected fine artists from not only Michigan but the entire United States. Thousands gather each June to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride. This 2-day festival commemorates the 19659 Stonewall riots in New York City which was an uprising that marked the beginning of the movement to end discriminatory laws and practices against LGBTQ+ Americans.
