‘The Princess Diaries’ Actress Gushes Over Her Love For Michigan

That movie has become a cult classic for every woman still stuck in the 2000s tween era.

After rewatching it over the past weekend, a TikTok popped up of actress Heather Matarazzo and it made me love her even more.

Heather Matarazzo's Love Of Michigan

In "The Princess Diaries 1 and 2," Heather Matarazzo plays Lilly Moscovitz, who was Princess Mia's best friend before the crown.

While answering a fan's question on her TikTok page, Heather gushed about her love of her new state - Michigan.

"Yes, it is true. I live in Michigan. I love it here so much. There's such an abundance of nature and everybody that I've met has been so incredibly kind. I feel very grateful to have landed in Michigan."

Being from New York, Matarazzo became a Michigan transplant with her wife, comedian Heather Turman, a year and a half ago.

While she doesn't share what city she lives in, she shared a bunch of things that she loves about Michigan.

"I've gotten to go to the Ann Arbor Art Fair, which I absolutely loved. I've gotten to check out some of the cider mills around this beautiful state, which is incredible!"

She even understands our obsession with Michigan apple cider donuts.

"An apple cider donut, yes, please. Give me 10!"

She continues by sharing her obsession over all things cherries. Of course!

"My wife is obsessed with cherries. I wonder why. And she got this cherry salsa and asked if I wanted to try any. And I was like, that sounds kind of gross. But, yeah I'm open to trying it. It's not supposed to taste that good.

Heather even goes as far as calling Michiganders "magicians when it comes to cherries."

While Matarazzo has been living in Michigan for some time now and people are calling her a Michigander, she still doesn't feel worthy of that title just yet.
