Any elementary school student will tell you the importance of lunchtime trades. Fruit and sandwiches are always up for grabs, but you never trade your best snacks.

Somebody should have told the New York Giants.

If Detroit Lions fans know anything about the Super Bowl, it's that Super Bowl snacks are the best part. When your team isn't playing, the snacks (and commercials and halftime show) are all that really matter.

This season, the Detroit Lions are hoping to upgrade their fans from Super Bowl snacks to Super Bowl Snacks.

ESPN reports that the New York Giants are trading defensive tackle #98 Damon "Snacks" Harrison to the Detroit Lions for a fifth-round draft pick.

Snacks should help the Lions rush defense which is one of the lowest rated in the NFL. He is in his third season with the Giants and has three years left on his contract. He played for the New York Jets for four seasons before that.

Earlier this year, NFL.com called Snacks "one of the best run defenders in the league." He was listed as the eighth-best defensive tackle in the NFL ranked right behind some guy named Ndamukong Suh.

Snacks' diet has changed over the years, but his love for Rice Krispies Treats, fried food and chocolate is well-documented.
