While the nation still deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, the Dave Matthews Band does not want people to forget what happened in their hometown Charlottesville, Va. in August.

On Sept. 24, the group will be hosting "A Concert for Charlottesville." Billed as "an evening of music and unity," the event will be free for members of the Charlottesville and University of Virginia communities. Performers at the concert will include Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, The Roots, Cage the Elephant and more.

While tickets for the event are free, concertgoers are encouraged to make a donation to the Concert for Charlottesville Fund. Money from the donations will go toward victims of the Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 events, as well as families, first responders and "organizations devoted to the promotion of healing, unity and justice locally and nationwide."

On Aug. 12, one person was killed and 19 others were injured when a speeding car slammed into a group of counter-protestors at a "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville. The rally was eventually shut down by police after Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe declared a state of emergency for the city and police ordered crowds to leave Lee Park, where a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee was slated to be removed.
