Break In In Plainwell

As I was scrolling on Facebook, I noticed a post from Haven Black in the Allegan County Informed group that caught my attention.

Around 5:00 AM, Haven was working out in Plainwell, trying her morning workout in.

Within 30 minutes, she discovered that her car windows had been smashed, along with two other vehicles.

From the pictures that she attached alone, you can tell it is getting insane in Grand Rapids.

According to the comments under Haven's post, there was another break-in at Plainwell Pickleball courts.

"Plainwell Pickleball courts got hit at 5:30pm when people were playing. Someone was bold enough to hid their car behind the bathroom and shatter the window of someone who was playing on the courts. We have a serious theft going around Plainwell right now."

Thieves At GR Parks

Besides the car break-ins across the city, there are also thefts happening at Grand Rapids parks.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office sent out a warning about a slew of thefts at Townsend Park and Millennium Park as well.

How To Avoid Car Break-Ins

Seeing as though the thefts seem to be targeting personal belongings, it is HIGHLY recommended to never leave any valuable (monetary or personal) in your car.

Make sure your doors are locked at all times. If you can afford it, it may be wise to invest in security cameras and other precautions for your vehicle.
