Bo Schembechler arrived in Ann Arbor as Michigan's new football coach 50 years ago this fall. And it took a while for the players to like him.

Schembechler's former players agree to a man that Bo was hard on them. He demanded a lot of them. But those who gutted it out pulled off one of the greatest upsets in college football history -- a stunning 24-12 take down of undefeated and top ranked Ohio State, which intensified a rivalry that was already boiling hot.

In this video posted to the Michigan alumni page, former players talk about the rocky start they had with Bo and the resulting turnaround about half way through the season, leading to the big upset.
