It was nineteen years ago this week that the Grand Rapids Rampage took on the Nashville Kats at Van Andel Arena for the 2001 title. Now you can relive the glory!

The Rampage, behind quarterback Clint Dolezal, rolled up an Arena Bowl record (at the time) 64 points in dispatching the Kats, 64-42, in front of a sold out crowd at the Van on August 19, 2001.

It would be the Rampage's only title in their eleven-year Arena Football League seasons before the league folded in 2009. Grand Rapids was the smallest city in the old AFL.

Brent Musbeger called the action on ABC's Wide World of Sports. Almost as interesting as the action on the field are the commercials from the era, including a 32-track rock collection called 'ROCK THIS!' on CD.
