WOW, West Michigan sure is a beautiful place to live.

That was captured wonderfully by the participants in West Michigan Tourist Association's 2022 Photo Contest.

Out of more than 2,000 submissions, five winners have been selected.

West Michigan Tourist Association 2022 Photo Contest

Each summer, the West Michigan Tourist Association asks the public to submit photos of our beautiful state. They narrow it down to 50 finalists and then its put up to a public vote on WMTA's Facebook page. You can check out all 50 finalist's pictures in the gallery below!

Folks in the top 50 compete in five categories:

• Public Vote
• Beach/Lake/Lighthouse Photo
• People Photo
• Nature Photo
• Downtown Photo

Public Vote Winner: Carissa Simons, Mackinac Island

Downtown Category Winner: Fermin B. Manatad, Holland

People Category Winner: Erica Kirshman, Grand Rapids

Lake/Beach/Lighthouse Category Winner: Mark Stanley, Charlevoix

Nature Category Winner: Joel Moore, Grandville
