It's usually a good thing when someone says you "destroyed your set," but 2016 has seen members of the hip-hop community give folks a reason to use the term literally. Trey Songz is the latest to join that club.

He was arrested for destroying his stage during the Big Show at the Joe concert in Detroit on Wednesday night (Dec. 28).

Songz was later charged with aggravated assault and assaulting a police officer, according to CNN. He was arraigned on today (Dec 29) with a bond set at $25,000. His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2017. The show also featured performances by Chris Brow, Lil Yachty and Desiigner.

In a video uploaded by So Sincere Ent, we see the Trigga artist threatening to act up if the sound people cut his microphone off. "If they cut me off, remember it and text whoever you want to and tweet whoever you want to and tell everybody about it," he says in the vid. "Because a nigga cut me off, I’m going the fuck crazy."

In what was presumably a very short time later, we see that the lights have been cut off, and Trey begins to throw sound equipment around on stage. Yikes. According to the folks at Fox 2 Detroit, police officers rushed the stage in an attempt to calm down the "Unusual" performer, but one of them got hit in the head by a microphone allegedly thrown by Trey. In the moments afterward, Trey was arrested for malicious destruction of property and resisting and obstructing arrest.

After his arrest, Trey was held up at the Detroit Detention Center. He and his team have yet to issue a statement, but we're pretty sure we'll hear more about the incident in the coming days.
