In early January, Trina dropped a new club banger with Tory Lanez called "Damn." Now, the Miami MC reveals that Lil Wayne will appear on her upcoming album, due out in April.

The 38-year-old rapper broke the news in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid. Trina and Weezy previously collaborated for the 2005 smash hit "Don't Trip," and it's well-documented that they were in a romantic relationship at that time.

Fans of both artists should be pleased to know they're teaming up again for Trina's forthcoming LP, which is currently untitled. Throughout the 11-minute interview with DJ Whoo Kid (which can be viewed above), Trina also discusses how she navigates and assesses relationships.

Toward the end of the interview, DJ Whoo Kid tells the story of a trip to the Bahamas with 50 Cent in the early 2000s. Coincidentally, they were staying in the same hotel as Trina. As the story goes, 50 Cent was working out in the gym and told Whoo Kid to holla at Trina for him. Apparently, Da Brat came out of nowhere to shut down 50's attempt to hang out with Trina.

"I was like ‘Yo, Trina’s here.’" Whoo Kid says. "And [50 Cent] was like, ‘Word? She’s cool with me. Tell her I said what’s up. Tell her to come through.’ So I just went to the front desk to say, ‘Yo, 50’s working out in the gym, he just wants to say what’s up.’"

Whoo kid continues, "So right when I said that, I was surrounded by a certain individual. I got surrounded by Da Brat. Da Brat was about to kill me."

As aforementioned, you can check out the interview above via YouTube. XXL will keep you updated on Trina's album as the title, tracklist and other information emerge.
