TSA Issues Warning Ahead Of Labor Day Travel
On August 21st, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced that they are preparing for the "busiest Labor Day travel period on record."
More than 17 million people are expected to go through TSA security checkpoints from Thursday, August 29th through Wednesday, September 4th.
The peak day that is projected falls on August 30th, "when TSA expects to screen 2.86 million people."
On July 7th, 2024, the agency achieved a new milestone: security officers screened more than 3 million people in ONE DAY!
With that being said, the agency is making sure that its staff is ready to meet all of the wait time standards so people can be as in and out as possible.
However, with the increase in travel numbers, TSA is suggesting that you follow a few guidelines to make your travel days easier.
