The public is invited to help plant bulbs during either shift. In case of rain, event will be rescheduled for Oct. 17, 2020.
Tulip Time's Executive Director, Gwen Auwerda said in a statement.
“This is a great way to get involved with the Festival. And, in the spring, you’ll have bragging rights and can show off the tulips you planted to your friends and family!”
For both events, bulbs and tools will be provided, along with coffee, cider, doughnuts and water. Tulip Time says that safety guidelines will be followed, with family groups planting together. Equipment will be sanitized between users. Volunteers are asked to please wear a mask, bring gloves, and wear boots.
