Ways to Prepare For To See Kehlani Tomorrow At 20 Monroe
BLUE WATER ROAD TOUR IS FINALLY IN GRAND RAPIDS (well, it will be tomorrow)!
If you know anything about Lisha B, you should know that one of my all-time favorite artists is Kehlani.
I have met her several times, including at this year's Dreamville Fest in Raleigh, NC.
However, my first time meeting her was at her meet & greet during her Sweet Sexy Savage tour.
Please enjoy little Lisha being overly excited to meet her favorite artist.
You're welcome for my embarrassment.
Luckily, you can be like me and experience a full Kehlani live experience.
Here are the ways to prepare yourself for Kehlani greatness.
1. If you are meeting her during her meet and greet, do not bring her presents. They made a TikTok speaking about why she does not want people bringing any presents.
Currently, they are on a minimalist lifestyle. If you bring gifts, that goes against what they are trying to do.
If you want to show your love and appreciation to Kehlani, they recommend writing a letter or simply singing your heart out to their music.
@kehlanising the lyrics real loud and blow me a kiss thats enough for me ♬ original sound - Kehlani
2. One of the first things you should do is listen to Blue Water Road album and While We Wait since both projects make up the set lineup.
According to Pitchfork, Blue Water Road is "Kehlani's most mature album, as well as their most musically and thematically challenging." I would have to agree! This album feels like a breath of fresh air.
I am super excited to see how this translates into a live performance.
3. Listen to Rico Nasty's Las Ruinas album!
Rico is one of the show openers so it is only right to get yourself acquainted with her discography. As a DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) native like Rico, I am biased.
However, after meeting Rico a lot, she is the nicest person. Plus, her music is fantastic.
4. Listen to Destin Conrad's discography
I have known about Destin since his Vine days. However, now he is a successful artist.
I would recommend listening to the Colorways album and his singles, especially Life is Changing and Unpredictable.
