Fall is in full effect!
As the cooler weather and leaves begin to change, it is the time for some apple picking, pumpkin carving, and endless fall fun.

Ultimate West Michigan Fall Bucket List
Are you ready to see what you and/or the whole family can get into this fall season in West Michigan?
Is it even fall if you do not go apple picking? There are so many places to go apple picking right in West Michigan.
You can grab a bushel of Macintosh or Delicious apples at Robinette's Apple Haus & Winery. They also have the best apple cider in my opinion.
Another option for a you-pick vibe is Crance Orchards U-Pick in Fennville.
Cheer Loud For Your Favorite Football Team
Football is a big deal in Michigan, especially during the fall season.
While most of the fall fun is on the east side of the state, you can still cheer them on from your couch.
What is your football vibe? Are you more of a Spartans fan or Wolverines? Do you think the Lions have what it takes this season?
Visit A West Michigan Pumpkin Patch
It is PSL season for no reason!
Right here in Grand Rapids and West Michigan, there are so many pumpkin patches for you to choose from.
- Deep Roots Produce in Alto
- Post Family Farm in Hudsonville
- Ed Dunneback & Girls Fruit Farm in Grand Rapids
- Schwallier's Country Basket in Sparta
- Fruit Ridge Hayrides in Kent City
- Heidi's Farmstand and Bakery in Lowell
There are so many more that GR Kids has highlighted as well.
Visit The Zoo
It is not fall time without a little animal fun!
You can visit John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids. Michigan's website shared that if you visit John Ball Zoo in costumes you could get a treat, including animals.
There is also Binder Park in Battle Creek. It hosts the Zoo Boo which
"includes seasonal decorations, a community pumpkin carving activity, a haunted hayride and trick-or-treating."
A Farmer Market Is Calling You
It is the best time to visit your local farmers' market.
Fulton Street Market is open right now if you want a variety of fruits and veggies, dairy, meats, snacks, etc.
"The Market operates in two 6-month seasons. Main Season (May-October) hosts Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday markets from 8 AM - 2 PM. Second Season (November-April) hosts a weekly market on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM."
There are also four food assistance programs to help make healthy eating more accessible.
