The Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Kent, Ottawa, Allegan, Barry, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Ionia, and Calhoun counties. Further east, Charlotte and Jackson are also under advisory.

Areas of freezing drizzle and light snow are expected. Total snow accumulations are less than one inch.

Plan on slippery road conditions, especially during the evening commute. Secondary roads, bridges and overpasses, parking lots, and sidewalks are most susceptible.

West Michigan residents are urged to slow down and use caution while traveling.

Looking ahead, according to Wood TV 8, Tuesday will likely be dry, though north of I-96 could see some light snow developing in the afternoon.
