Wu-Tang Clan and Cher Have a Song Together on ‘Once Upon a Time in Shaolin’
That infamous Wu-Tang album that never surfaced because Martin Shkreli bought it for $2 million back in 2015 apparently had a Cher feature, according to U-God.
U-God has been busy promoting his new memoir, and TMZ caught up with the rapper who discussed the album since the Feds recently ordered Shrekli to turn in the album if he's unable to pay the $7.4 million he owes in restitution.
"I hope the Feds are gonna give us back our record," U-God says. "That'd be kinda cool if I could get my record back so it can generate some sales for my family. Or, they can keep it in the museum and we can share the proceeds or something."
He says he's not interested in buying the album back if the Feds end up auctioning it off. "How I'm gonna buy something that I made?"
He then elaborates on the record, saying that he and Redman have a song with Cher.
"That's all I can tell you," he says when pressed for details. "That's crazy."
As aforementioned, U-God's new memoir Raw: My Journey Into the Wu-Tang, released yesterday (March 6) and details his experiences with the legendary group.
"I’m just a musician looking for the next declaration," he explained in an interview with Philadelphia Weekly. "I don’t see myself as no OG, I do things my way and it’s been that belief that has kept me and the music I’m a part of at the forefront."
