Unfortunately Mother's Day is going to be a little different this year and we can't take mom out to a nice lunch or dinner, however, you can just bring it to her. I may not be a mom but I would be very grateful if someone spoiled me with lots of delicious chicken.

The famous Bavarian Inn Restaurant, at Frankenmuth, has been closed since the start of the pandemic but will open for Mother's Day only to offer takeout meals. The family said their decision to reopen was inspired by Dorothy Zehnder, the matriarch of the business, reports MLive.

The restaurant will be offering three takeout meal options: an individual meal, family dinner to feed 4, and a dinner to feed 8 people. The dinners include all of your favorite fixins' that you'd normally get at Bavarian Inn including hearty pieces of their famous chicken. See the full Mother's Day menu here.

Takeout orders must be made by Wednesday, May 6th and picked up on Mother's Day (5/10).

You can call Bavarian Inn Restaurant at 989.652.9941 to place your order.

Sure, Frankenmuth is about a two-hour drive from Grand Rapids, but mom is worth it. And your belly will thank you later.

Bavarian Inn is known for their all-you-can-eat family-style chicken dinners.
