    Grand Rapids Mud Run

    Saturday, August 24th, 2019 - 8:30 am-11:30 am

The Grand Rapids Mud Run is a messy, muddy adventure race that is both challenging and family friendly! Grab your friends for the 10th annual event and CONQUER the course. Then all that's left is to BRAG! In 2009, Jeff Eckart got a muddy idea: create a world-class, extreme 5K mud run to raise money for a worthy cause. On August 28, 2010 the first Grand Rapids Mud Run was born right here in GR! It attracts mud-lovers from all over, and includes mud pits, a 60 foot mud slide, tunnel crawls, walls, slippery hill climbs, and much more. Each year since the race began, runners have had the opportunity to give back in a strange but awesome way, through donating their messy and muddy shoes! After conquering the course, runners can donate their shoes at the shower station by tying the pair together and putting them in the donate bin. Model Coverall and the Salvation Army Stores of Grand Rapids will be cleaning the shoes and getting them back into our community to help those in need!
