With all this crazy weather that has been happening, it can make ice conditions unstable and two ice fisherman on White Lake found out the hard way.

According to MLive, a couple of ice fishermen fell through the ice on White Lake in Muskegon County Wednesday morning and had to be rescued. The fishermen were fishing on 2 inches of ice.

The two men fell through the ice just before 8 a.m. February 27 near the town of Whitehall.

A fire rescue team has to use a hovercraft to get out on the ice to rescue the two fishermen. One man managed to get out of the water and back on the ice while the second man was still waist deep in water when the fire department had arrived.

The two men were not the only the only two to go through the ice. A snowmobile and ice shanty also went through also.

The two victims at first were very hard to locate but the first responders we able to find them before calling in a helicopter from the U.S. Coast Guard but luckily that was not needed.

The two men were taken to a local hospital to be checked out for hypothermia.
