A new Tupac Shakur statue is being created in honor of the late rapper’s death, according to TMZ.

In 2015, when the family estate sold the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Ga., the took the 2Pac statue that was in the center’s peace garden. It’s the same statue that T.I. criticized in an Instagram post.

Jim Burnett, who now owns the amphitheater formerly known as the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts, has commissioned artist Nijel Binns to create another 7-foot-tall bronze Tupac Shakur statue. The sculpture will cost a whopping $500,000 and weigh 1,000 pounds.

Binns has created larger-than-life sculptures before, having designed statues of Michael Jackson, Malcolm X and Shirley Temple. It appears with the new statue the model will be shirtless with the cross imprinted on his back. Burnett and Binns hopes to have the statue completed by September so they can unveil it right around the 21st anniversary of 2Pac's death.

This news comes as the late rapper was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition, the Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez on Me, is arriving in theaters on June 16, which would have been his 46th birthday.
