There are plenty of things to do to celebrate Memorial Day in Grand Rapids all weekend long.

Friday Memorial Day Events in Grand Rapids

What better way to start Memorial Day weekend than with good food?

Food Truck Fridays are back! You can head over to Riverside Park from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM to grab good eats from some of the best local eateries.

Over 2,000 people showed up for Food Truck Friday last week so be sure to be there early!

Saturday Memorial Day Events in Grand Rapids

On Saturday, May 25th, you can experience the Grand Rapids Memorial Day Parade!

Starting at 10:00 AM, the parade will begin on Lyon Street between Monroe and Ottawa, traveling to Monroe, Monroe Center, Division, Fulton, and ending at Veterans Memorial Park.

If you want the best view of the parade, here is where you and the whole family should be sitting:

• Monroe Center Street NW
• Division Avenue N between Monroe Center Street and Fulton Street
• Fulton Street E from Division Avenue to Veterans Memorial Park

Sunday Memorial Day Events in Grand Rapids

Want something to do on Sunday to celebrate the holiday?

Travel over to Muskegon for the 37th Annual Lost Boat Ceremony.

This special ceremony is a naval tradition that honors all sailors who have lost their lives at sea.

It is free for anyone to attend.

Monday Memorial Day Events in Grand Rapids

As for the actual holiday, three parades are happening if you are not burning up standing in front of a grill.

Zeeland's Memorial Day Parade is happening in Downtown Zeeland starting at 9:00 AM.

If you are in the city of Walker, you can experience their Memorial Day Parade.

Starting at noon, you can see the parade at Remembrance Road from City Hall to National Storage Access Road.

They will be closing Remembrance Road at 11:30 AM for the parade. It will reopen when the parade is over, so keep that in mind.

If you want a later parade, the city of Wyoming's annual Memorial Day ceremony is happening at 7:00 PM at the Veterans Memorial Garden.

Mayor Kent Vanderwood and the Wyoming Public Safety Honor Guard will be leading the ceremony. The Godfrey-Lee High School band will be performing.
