7 Year Old Ohio Boy Craving A Slushie Drove His Parents SUV To Get One
The legal driving age in Ohio is 15 years and 6 months according to Ohio.gov
But that didn't stop a seven-year-old from hopping into his parent's Red Kia SUV and going for a joyride.
Seven-year-old Daniel Wittenback of Middletown, Ohio was craving a Speedway slushie. Instead of asking his mom or dad if they could take him to get one, he reached for the car keys that were hanging next to the door and took off.
Daniel Wittenback's Journey To Get A Speedway Slushie
After Daniel got the keys and pulled out of the garage he headed for the highway where he started going in the wrong direction into oncoming traffic.
You can see that he barely squeezes past this semi-truck and guard rail.
After safely clearing the semi-truck he approaches a car in the left lane of traffic.
The alert driver makes a hard left turn and pulls forward before a collision could occur.
After near misses, the boy drives up on the shoulder. In the distance you see a man running towards the SUV.
As the man gets closer he takes off his shirt in an attempt to protect his arm as he tries to break the driver's side window and stop the SUV. Unfortunately, he is unable to and the boy keeps on heading down the road.
Another man in a Jeep hops out and tries to slow the car down by hand but is unsuccessful leading to the Kia hitting the man's parked Jeep.
After the collision people were able to get into the SUV and put it in park while removing the young boy who had a slight headache from hitting his head on the steering wheel during the crash.
