8 MI Companies Named ‘World’s Most Admired’ by Fortune 500

Fortune's yearly ranking of the World's Most Admired Companies was just released for 2020.

Fortune surveys 3,800 "...executives, directors, and analysts" and for 13 straight years, Apple has topped the charts. This year, eight companies in the great state of Michigan made the list, including 3 from West MI.

Consumer Food Products

• Kellogg, Battle Creek - 6th in category.

Food Service

• Domino's, Ann Arbor - The pizza chain fell second to Starbucks.

Home Equipment & Furnishings

• Steelcase, Grand Rapids - The furniture company ranked 2nd in this category.
• Whirlpool, Benton Harbor - The company known for its home appliances came in 3rd.

Medical Products and Equipment

• Stryker, Kalamazoo - 5th in category.

Motor Vehicles

• General Motors, Detroit - GM took 4th while Toyota was in 1st place.

Motor Vehicle Parts

• Lear, Southfield - The manufacturer for automotive seats and electrical systems was in 6th.

 Speciality Retailers

• Penske Automotive Group, Bloomfield Hills - Penske took 4th while Best Buy, Home Depot, & Lowe's were 1st through 3rd, respectively.
