Attempted Break-in at D&R Sports Turns to Police Chase
One of my favorite places to shop had an attempted break-in early Thursday morning that turned into an all out police chase.
According to WOOD, D&R Sports Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan, had an attempted break-in just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning and one man is still on the run.
The suspects tried to break-in with no success so they decided to leave the scene but someone spotted the vehicle and was able to give Kalamazoo Sheriff deputies a description.
Sheriff deputies then wound up in a chase of the vehicle that went all the way into Allegan County and Allegan County deputies had to get involved.
An Allegan County deputy did manage to get some stop sticks out which cause the car to stop abruptly.
There were five total suspects that attempted to flee the car. Three were caught at the scene with two running away. Deputies brought in a police dog who managed to track down one suspect for a total of four arrests out of five.
A black male in his mid to late teens was able to allude police who are on the hunt for him as we speak.
There is a lot of valuable sporting goods equipment at D&R Sports Center not to mention all the guns and ammunition that are there so its a good thing the suspects didn't get inside. The last thing the community needs right now are more unregistered guns available.
These young men are looking at some serious charges ranging from breaking and entering, fleeing and eluding and for the bonus round resisting and obstructing.
