Big Sean and his mother, Myra Anderson, a former middle school teacher, have joined forces to create Mogul Prep, a national educational program that will help middle and high school students learn about the music business.

Mogul Prep is an initiative from The Sean Anderson Foundation. The foundation was started by Big Sean and his mother back in 2012 and focuses on giving young students in Detroit opportunities they may not have access to due to of lack of resources.

Big Sean is no stranger to giving back to the community. Last year he helped put a recording studio in his old high school, Cass Technical. He donated $25,000 to Wayne University to help students in need of shelter, childcare, and food. And more recently, he raised nearly $100,000 for people affected by the water poisoning in Flint, Michigan.

The Mogul Prep program consists of a curriculum put together by professionals that include course plans, video interviews from industry professionals, and an interactive component for students. While on tour, Big Sean will host a Mogul Prep event in Detriot and also introduce the program to students in Atlanta, Miami, and Silver Spring, Maryland.

Students will get the chance to meet and learn from Sarah Roundtree and Towalame Austin, from Roc Nation, Big Sean's production manager Maceo Price, DJ Mo Beatz, and Mike Carson who is Big Sean's creative director. Check out the upcoming tour dates below.
