It's been known for a long time that Chance The Rapper has been turning down record deals left and right, in order to keep his independence and creative control. And according to Page 6, the Chicago MC has been saying no to some very sizable offers. Offers that are in the $5-$10 million range.

“Every label is still trying to get him," an insider told the site. "He’s making too much on his own … He was turning down $5 million advances before, and now it’s like $10 million.” The source added, “He may do something with Apple, but not a label per se … He is going to remain independent.”

Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And Lil Chano and his indie movement have been doing just fine.

The labels are surely raising their offers since Chance racked up at the 2017 Grammy Awards, winning Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance and Best New Artist.

Chance will try to add to his 2017 wins, as it was recently announced he has been nominated for a 2017 iHeartRadio Music Award in the category of Best New Hip-Hop Artist.

In related news, Chance will be embarking on a tour in April. Starting April 24, the Windy City MC will hit up 40 stops including Denver, Houston, New York, Atlanta and Miami, before concluding on June 17 in Dover, Del. Check out the full list of tour dates here.
