Chris Brown is fighting back against a promoter who he claims tried to extort him for money. TMZ reports that Breezy is suing a concert promoter from the Philippines who he alleges tried to strong arm him for $300,000.

According to the suit, Brown said the trouble started when he had to reschedule a planned New Year’s Eve 2014 concert in the Philippines due to a “misplaced passport.” The singer eventually performed a makeup show in July 2015 and everything went smoothly.

However, when Brown tried to leave his hotel he was confronted by armed men and a lawyer for the venue who allegedly told him if he doesn’t wire $300,000 to a trust fund for Jose Victor Los Banos Biongco he would be arrested.

Brown refused and got in touch with an immigration attorney and was able to leave the country. But, according to Brown, Biongco and his reps continued to text him asking for the money.

The “Privacy” singer says that the entire incident has left him in “extreme” emotional distress and he wants Biongco to pay for undisclosed damages.

Reps for Brown had no comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown is keeping busy on the music side. The Grammy-winning singer can be seen in Future's video for "Pie," duetting with Jhene Aiko on the beautiful song "Hello Ego" and assisting Gucci Mane on his track, "Tone It Down."
