Michigan may be running out of liquor but that's not stopping us here in Grand Rapids.

Different restaurants and bars around the city will be showcasing some of their best drinks throughout Cocktail Week kicking off Wednesday, the 13th. Sure, GR may be known for its beer but it has a lot to offer in the alcohol department. From local gin to bourbon, Grand Rapids knows how to make a good cocktail and you can try several kinds during the annual event going through November 24th.

You can see a list of the 36 participating places & the special cocktail(s) they've made here. Many have even done suggested food pairings. Some of the restaurants include Butcher's Union, Rockwell Republic, AC Hotel, & even the new speakeasy at the Amway, IDC.

Throughout Cocktail Week, there will also be different events you can attend such as a cocktail class at New Holland Brewing, a board game night at Roam, and let's not forget about the International Wine Beer & Food Festival which runs the 21st to the 23rd. Side note: Forbes recently named the festival as one of the best in North America.
