Detroit Youth Choir Returns To ‘America’s Got Talent’ Tonight
They were joyous, fun and they made former Flint resident Terry Crews cry. The Detroit Youth Choir returns for the next round of AGT tonight.
The Choir's last appearance on the show, back in June, made Crews hit the Golden Buzzer, which advanced them to tonight's quarterfinals.
The choir, composed of talented children from the Motor City's more at-risk communities, won over a national audience with that performance, but will that audience vote for the kids?
Tonight, you'll get that chance when the Choir hits the stage for the NBC show's 8pm live episode. Anthony T. White has been cagey about revealing what the Choir has planned for the show.
"The Detroit Youth choir is a community-based choir. We have a lot of inner-city kids. Some of them have bad home situations or they can be in the streets, there's violence. We give them something positive to come and be a part of," White told ClickOnDetroit, "We can take that little bit of talent and pour some water on it and grow it."
Voting runs from tonight's performance until 7:00am Wednesday morning. There are several ways to vote, including the America's Got Talent app, online at the NBC.com webpage, or by using the Xfinity X1 device. All the rules for voting are currently up on the NBC.com web page.
