Did You Know About This FREE Kent County Service?
In October of 2021, I moved back home to West Michigan from San Antonio with my wife Lindsey. After almost six months we were finally able to find a house and move in.
We're still in the process of unboxing our things and the boxes were starting to pile up so in an effort to try and help other people that are getting ready to move my wife suggested we post the boxes we will no longer need online.
We had several people swing by and take some of the 40-plus boxes. We were left with 7 big boxes and lots of moving paper. My wife Lindsey who knows way more than me found online that you can drop off recycling items for free in Kent County.

Dropping Off Items At The Wealthy Street Recycling Drop-Off Station
I took the remaining boxes that were not picked up and loaded them into my car. I had so many that even with the back seats of my SUV down I could barely squeeze myself into the driver's seat.
When I pulled up in front of the building I saw the recycling drop-off location.
Several signs were posted outside the drop-off window so you could make sure what you were dropping off was in fact recyclable.
As I was unloading my final few boxes I got a little curious about what was behind the curtain so I had to stick my arm through and use my phone to snag a picture of where my old cardboard boxes were going.
What I saw was quite impressive, check out how compacted some of those piles are.
