Last month, it was reported that BET will produce a reality series called Ladies Night featuring ‘90s superstars En Vogue as well as Salt-N-Pepa and SWV. But apparently, that’s not the case.

On Thursday (May 3), En Vogue appeared on Los Angeles radio station KJLH to shoot down rumors of them starring in the reality series. According to En Vogue member Cindy Herron, the reports are totally false.

"We had an initial meeting with BET about the possibility to be a part of the Ladies Night reality show, " said Herron, adding that news stories were premature about them joining the series. "We hadn't signed any contracts so no we are not going to be a part of that."

According to a press release, Ladies Night will feature '90s R&B and hip-hop favorites SWV and Salt-N-Pepa (sans En Vogue) as cameras follow the groups through their personal and professional dramas while preparing for a nationwide tour.

Meanwhile, En Vogue credits their 30-year success with evolving with the times and always keeping their music authentic.

“The music reflects our evolution, where we’ve been," explains Herron (via lasentinel.net). "We like to bring our life experiences into our music; we like to bring relevant messages into our music, messages that other people can relate to."

"For us to have been gone for so many years and been welcomed back [the] way we have been with open arms and well received at radio, it means a lot to us,” she continued.

En Vogue's new album, Electric Café, is available now.
