As more and more people get vaccinated, more and more of the events that bring us to normalcy are stating to return. The first Relay for Life walk will be in Rockford, Michigan.

According to WOOD, senior development manager for the American Cancer Society, Susan Brogger said, "when you or a loved one has faced has faced a cancer journey, you know that your support system and the sense of community is everything to getting you through that journey and so last year was really difficult."

Helping people will always make you feel good, especially when you have not been able to do it for over a year.

The Relay for Life walk will be Friday May 14 with a Luminaria walk at White Pine Trail. The walk will be from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Only 300 people will allowed to be a part of the event. Learn more here.

If you are a golfer, there is another way you can help out. There is an outing at Alpine Golf Course that starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 15. It is $320 per team and spots are filling up fast so get signed up as soon as possible. Get your foursome signed up here.

The Relay for Life has another event that will happen June 4 at East Rockford Middle School for a showing of the movie "Wonder." A $20 donation per car is suggested. You can get your vehicle in at 8:30 p.m. and the movie will roughly start at 9:30 p.m. Learn more about the movie night here.
