Here Are the First Week Sales Projections for Jay-Z’s ‘4:44′ Album
JAY-Z's already platinum LP, 4:44, is expected to pull in some nice numbers sales wise.
According to Hits Daily Double, Hov's 13th album is projecting to move in the range of 175,000 units in sales alone, with the number jumping up to 275,000 with the streaming stats included. This is on top of the 1 million copies purchased by Sprint for the initial exclusive rights to the album. Those numbers are even more impressive when you throw in the fact that the album was illegally downloaded nearly 1 million times in the three days following its release. Even Snoop Dogg pirated the project.
Jigga's last release, Magna Carta...Holy Grail, which dropped in 2013, enjoyed a better opening week with 528,000 copies moved.
International Hov has been showing off his global appeal on this project. Since being made available on iTunes and Apple Music, the LP has skyrocketed to No. 1 on the iTunes charts in 39 countries all over the globe including United States, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland, Russia, Sweden, South Africa, Finland, Poland, Malaysia, India, Panama, Sri Lanka and Anguilla to name a few.
Physical copies of the album were made available yesterday (July 7) and include three bonus tracks. One features Jay's daughter, Blue Ivy, while another boasts James Blake. The third is the highly anticipated "Adnis" track, which was initially featured in an ad for the album, but not on the streaming version.
