Active-duty military and their families will be able to enjoy free admission all summer to four museums in Grand Rapids and hundreds across the country.

Grand Rapids Public Museum announced today that they are participating in Blue Star Museums. Blue Star Museums is a nationwide program which provides free admission to active-duty military and their families.

Gerald R. Ford Presidential MuseumGrand Rapids Art Museum and UICA will also offer free admission. Several other museums in West Michigan and across the state are participating, plus about 2,000 nationwide. See the full list.

Free admission starts on Saturday, May 25, and ends on Sunday, September 1.

Free admission is available for those currently serving in the United States Military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps and up to five family members.
