The Ottawa Beach Inn, a restaurant staple in the Holland area on Ottawa Beach Road for more than 50-years, is coming back to life!

Crain's Grand Rapids Business reported that Corina and Vasilios Sepsakos, owners of Brickyard Tavern and Brick and Porter here in Grand Rapids, are opening their third restaurant, this time in their hometown of Holland at the former Ottawa Beach Inn location.

It will be called Reservoir and is officially located at 2155 Ottawa Beach Road, on the north side of Lake Macatawa, adjacent to Holland State Park.

A few of years ago the Ottawa Beach Inn had been rebranded by owner Eric Chaitin as year-round Mexican restaurant Playa Tacos and Tequila. That was successful in the summer months but when tourists went away for the winter it struggled. He closed it in 2022 and it never reopened.

That is until now.

Get ready for an upscale Italian-American fare at the new Reservoir!

For the late spring through the summer season, Reservoir will focus on quality and more upscale Italian and American dishes.

The Sepsakos say the new restaurant, Reservoir won't forget it's roots, however, and will pay homage to Ottawa Beach Inn (OBI), serving the community’s year-round residents while welcoming Holland’s summer tourists at the same time.

They will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. And while catering to tourists in the summer with their upscale Italian-American fare, they will be adding many fan favorites from the past with comfort food like pizza, french onion soup, burgers, seafood and more during the off season.

The building is getting a much needed sprucing up, too. New paint and decor of course, and they have put up a retractable awning around the restaurant’s nearly 2,000-square-foot patio for year-round use. They hope to open in early June!
