Spring Tease Turns Into Winter Freeze: West Michigan Braces For Snowstorm

We all thought Spring had come early last week. It kept getting warmer and warmer and reached up to 70 degrees for a couple of days. People were on the tennis courts, pickle ball courts, golf course, walking, running, everything we think of when Spring finally arrives.

WE THOUGHT SPRING WAS HERE!

Hold on there my little Daffodil buddy. You had better cover up your spring flowers because some serious snow is coming our way.

Fox17 meteorologists are saying 'April Fool,' and it's not even April yet. We just had a Fake Spring as winter returns with a vengeance and the very real chance of significant accumulating snow beginning Friday morning and continuing all day. Quite possibly we'll see wet, heavy, high-moisture content snow.

FOX17 SNOW PREDICTION

Right now it looks as if the snow will arrive well after midnight tomorrow, Thursday night/Friday pre-dawn and just may have a big impact on the Friday morning commute.

SNOW PLOWS WILL BE BACK!

That means tuning into 100.5 The River and "Andy in the Morning" should be number one on your list to get the most up to date traffic information from 5:30 to 9 a.m.

This storm is coming out of the west and looks like it will run right over us here in West Michigan.

FOX17 says it will continue most of the day and probably be moderate to heavy at times.

This storm shouldn't be as powerful as the one that hit us in January, but, hey, most of us got our shorts out and now you have to bring your parka and boots back.
