Kid Rock Takes Name Off Of Detroit Restaurant
Kid Rock's Made In Detroit restaurant is one of the most visited in the Little Caesar's Arena district, but as of today, it longer bears his name.
Kid Rock has told the LCA that he won't renew his licensing agreement he had with the Ilitch family, who owns the property the restaurant is located on.
"We are in the business of amazing and inspiring our fans and guests through an incredible array of world-class sporting and live entertainment events. As our venues are open, inviting, inclusive, and respectful to all, we look forward to bringing on an exciting new concept that aligns with our community and company values," Chris Granger, Group President, Sports and Entertainment, Ilitch Holdings, said in a statement.
The statement comes as a protest outside the restaurant was planned for this week following a drunken rant Kid Rock went on at his Nashville bar last Wednesday. Most of the ramblings Rock spewed out were about Oprah Winfrey for some reason.
Rock addressed his rant on Facebook Friday.
