Koe Wetzel and Jelly Roll Are Coming To Grand Rapids
Jelly Roll recently performed a sold-out show in Kalamazoo and is now coming to Grand Rapids.
I remember when Jelly Roll was first performing in clubs trying to establish a name for himself. I wasn't sure at the time if there was a market for country rap but the locals where I worked in the previous market said they loved him. I remember him coming to this tiny little bar where Nothing More, John 5, Black Stone Cherry, and many others had played when they were making their climb.
It just goes to show you that talent mixed with hard work, relentless touring, and a little luck and great things can happen.
I saw Jelly Roll perform in front of 75 people in a room that held only 125 and in the picture above he was performing on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Jelly Roll has come a long way from Nashville, Tennessee.
Most Played Song At Rock Radio So Far in 2022
When I heard Dead Man Walking for the first time I knew this song was a hit. I wasn't sure rock radio was ready for a country rapper from Nashville but Dead Man Walking was a rock song that rockers could relate to and they did. So far in 2022, Jelly Rolls Dead Man Walking is the most played song on rock radio.
Rockers really began warming up to Jelly Roll after performing Simple Man with Shinedown but this wasn't his first taste of success.
Jelly Roll has been working with several other artists like Struggle Jennings, Lil Wyte, and Haystack.
