Lil Wayne Teases New Joint Tour With Drake
Back in 2014, Drake and Lil Wayne embarked on a massive 31-date tour titled the Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour, and promoted it via Street Fighter-style advertisements. A second iteration of the jaunt might be on the horizon.
During a mid-November Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour stop in Miami, Drizzy brought Lil Wayne out to perform "Steady Mobbin.'" The big moment apparently eclipsed an announcement from Tune that was played during the show that is just now surfacing. In the video, Wayne hints at himself and Drake going on another joint tour.
"Champagne, what's up, man?" Weezy says in the video, which surfaced on Saturday (Dec. 1). "Congratulations on your tour. You a bad mutherfucker. Much success, much love, much props, much credit, all due, all well deserved. You earned it all bro."
He then dropped the bomb. "I can’t wait to get back on that stage and we do our own tour again," he added. "'Drake vs. Tune, Wayne,' whatever you wanna call it. You will never win, you never do. Congratulations!"
The Young Money rappers' initial tour was big for both artists and featured a special setup that pitted both rappers against each other as they both performed all the hits. An app was created for fans to choose who won at the end of each show. Special guests included YG, Yo Gotti, PartyNextDoor, G-Eazy and ILoveMakonnen.
