Lions’ Darius Slay Can’t Get Out Of Detroit Fast Enough
The Lions cornerback has been rumored to be trade bait for awhile, and now he's begging to leave.
Slay, who has been openly critical of some of the team's decisions over the last couple of seasons is now tweeting at the team to hurry up and get rid of him.
On Wednesday, the Lions picked up another cornerback (Atlanta's Desmond Trufant) on the free agent market, prompting Slay to tweet, 'They need to hurry it up!'
Later, when Adam Schefter of ESPN suggested a trade was imminent, Slay begged out of Detroit again:
Now, it appears as though Slay's wish is coming true. Multiple outlets are reporting that Slay will go to the Philadelphia Eagles and that the Lions will receive a third and fifth round draft pick in return.
Lions fans loved Slay, and he loved us back. But, all good things must come to an end.
