Meals on Wheels Needs Your Help To Keep Rolling in West Michigan
The last two years have been particularly difficult for charitable organizations throughout West Michigan, and one who provides essential services is in need of people who have time to donate to make a difference.
Meals on Wheels provides a service that allows seniors of West Michigan and all over the US the ability to not only get the meals and socialization they need, but also allows them to continue to live an independent lifestyle.
And right now, like many organizations, they need volunteers to help providing services to seniors in need.
There are currently two west Michigan branches of Meals on Wheels who are looking for volunteers to help continue their routes. While they have not have a disruption in service yet, it's vital that they find people willing to help to maintain the standard of service they provide.
Services in Muskegon, Oceana and Ottawa counties are provided by Agewell. And they're asking for volunteers of all skillsets. According to the Agewell website: "Can you spare some time? It only takes a few minutes a week to change someone's life, You may even be changing your own.
AgeWell Services is in urgent need of volunteer drivers for Senior Medical Transportation and Meals on Wheels. It is only through the dedicated service of our volunteers that we are able to meet the needs of so many seniors in our area."
If you're in an organization that requires volunteer hours, they are happy to help you get credit. Or, if you're looking to make a difference even if it's just for a couple of hours of week, they're looking for you!
